Review: The Oopsie Heroes Bedwetting Alarm | oopsieheroes.com

Lets talk night time toilet training. Flynn has been dry throughout the day for the past 2 years now, however night time is a completely different story (and not through lack of trying I can assure you)! We have tried restricting drinks near to bedtime, lifting him out to go to the toilet when myself and my husband went up to bed, reward charts and even going cold turkey and just putting him to bed in a pair of pants rather than pull ups. You name it, we have most likely tried it. Nothing seems to have previously worked. Until I discovered Oopsie Heroes.

Oopsie Heroes is small bedwetting sensor designed to be attached to underwear or pyjama bottoms. As soon as your child begins having an accident, the sensor sends out a harmless signal to the app which will wake your child with an alarm. There are multiple sound options for the alarm, including a voice recording you can do yourself. The app is super easy to use and you can choose between a male and female character.

I think the main contributing factor for Flynns bedwetting is that he sleeps so deeply and just doesn’t wake up when he feels the urge to go to the toilet. The idea of a sensor and an alarm really appealed to me as it meant that it would help give Flynn back some of that control and independence by being able to wake up and take himself to the toilet. We were already waking up 2-3 times in the night to change wet bedding so we really had nothing to lose by giving this a try. And the fact that there was an app made it fun for Flynn too.

The website claims to have a success rate of 90% within 3 months so we were keen to see if Flynn would join that 90% and finally be dry at night. The first few nights we obviously didn’t notice much difference however after a week of using the sensor, the frequency of accidents started becoming less and less. This then spurred Flynn on and setting the alarm on the app quickly became part of our bedtime routine.

As we hit our second week with the sensor, Flynn had his first dry night! When he woke up in the morning, he had the biggest smile on his face and was so proud of himself. This then became the turning point for him and we began finding that having an accident was becoming more of a rarity. By week 3, Flynn had a stint of 10 dry nights in a row. As you can imagine, he was absolutely elated, and so were we! We continued using the sensor ‘just in case’ and because Flynn was also a bit worried about having accidents without it however after just 1 month in total, Flynn agreed that he no longer needed it because he was now an Oopsie Hero himself!

If, like us, you have a child that is struggling with staying dry at night, I cannot recommend Oopsie Heroes enough. It was truly a God send because I was seriously starting to run out of ideas! Get yours here today and let your child become an Oopsie Hero too, just like Flynn.
